Firefox is a cool web browser

by Robb Dunewood on February 20, 2005

I have been using Firefox while websurfing lately and I must say it is a pretty darn good Browser. It has some very good features. Hopefully this will prompt Microsoft to be more innovative with IE.

Technorati Update… Update: Pretty Darn Quick

by Robb Dunewood on February 14, 2005

Back on Superbowl Sunday I was quite board so I decided to run a test to see how fast Technorati updates it’s index. You can read about it here. David Sifry left a comment stating that Technorati had some technical difficulties that weekend and that I should retry the test. I did, and the results were pretty good. It took less than 5 minutes for a link to get updated.

I have a little blog over at www.netbasedbiz.com that I have not been posting to lately, but, I have decided to start back up again. I figure that I have already paid for the domain name so I might as well use it.

GratisNetwork Doesn’t Offer the Only Free Mac Mini in Town

by Robb Dunewood on February 10, 2005

There is a new kid on the block when it comes to getting a Free Mac Mini and they may actually give GratisNetwork’s FreeMiniMacs.com site some competition. The new site is called FreeMacMini.com and their offers look pretty good.

Guess who left a comment?

by Robb Dunewood on February 8, 2005

Believe it or not, David Sifry, founder and CEO of Technorati, has left not one, but two comments on my blog.  The impressive thing is that one comment was left on Technoratiupdatest that was less than 8 hours old with one incoming and one outbound link.  The other was left here on Tech4front that has only about three regular readers including myself and the pigeon on my window ledge.

Just how fast does Technorati update???

by Robb Dunewood on February 6, 2005

I wonder how long it takes Technorati to update for a new blog? I am kind of bored so I am going to run a little test just to see. I just created a new blog called TechnoratiUpdateTest. I am not going to link to it until I have Technorati set up but as soon as I do, I will come back and edit this post so that it is a link.

Rent a free Movie…

by Robb Dunewood on February 4, 2005

That’s right, get a free movie download from Movielink and Southwest Airlines. You just need an email address and a fast internet connection. The gotcha, you know that there is always a gotcha, is that the movie is copied protected and you only have 24 hours to watch it.
